Jim Allen has a diverse background. His godparents of over 30 years are White (Marcelle McVay and Dennis Zacek). He grew up between Little Village and Pilsen (2 predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods). He is a Chicago Park District as well as Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago kid.
Allen attended Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School, John Spry Elementary School, and Nathaniel Pope Elementary School. He also attended Lucy Flowers Vocational High School and George W. Collins High School where is made a double and graduated with honors. He studied Liberal Arts and Science at East/West University, Entrepreneurship Harvard University (online), Personal Finance Purdue University and Indiana University (online).
Elder Jim Allen has been in ministry for 30 years. He was raised a minister in 1996 by the late Bishop Dr. A.C. Richards Sr., at Bethlehem Healing Temple Church (12 S. Oakley Blvd) in Chicago.
Allen has served as a Gospel Worker, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Elder, 2x Youth Pastor, and Senior Pastor. He has extensive theological knowledge and holds several Biblical diplomas and certifications.
He serves as a spiritual advisor in the areas of: life coaching, premarital counseling, marital counseling, conjure work, rootwork and breaking generational curses. Elder Jim Allen is a well respected award winning community organizer and activist.
He’s been awarded by the Chicago Housing Authority, Illinois 8th Legislative District, Shriners Hospital for Children-Chicago and the Chicago 300 Black Women to name a few.
He’s been featured on local and national radio, newspapers, podcasts and social media platforms. Over the years, Elder Allen has reached millions of people around the globe with a message of hope.
Jim has helped hundreds of Black creators, innovators, entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs, politicians and business owners in the State of Illinois.
Allen is a highly sought after Hoodoo Doctor and educator. He’s the founder of Hoodoo Nation.
